Technology in service of the Quran

Quran.com helps people read, listen to, study, and reflect on the Quran. It is part of Quran.Foundation, a nonprofit building digital tools in service of the Quran.

As part of my role at Quran.com, I worked on dynamic Open Graph images using Next.js and Satori. These images give shared links a visual preview.

The generator supports multiple languages and can create an image for a particular surah, with an optional verse. Instead of using one generic preview for every link, it can reflect the content being shared.

The public repository documents the image endpoints and their parameters.
